With solar electricity, you reduce your carbon footprint
THE CARBON FOOTPRINT OF SOLAR ELECTRICITY
The solar power plant reduces the property's carbon footprint, as it produces emission-free and local electrical energy for the user. With the help of own production, it is also possible to more reliably monitor the carbon footprint of the real estate and services. Thus, it is possible for companies to make the services or products they produce even more ecological, measurably.

Kuinka paljon aurinkosähkövoimala vähentää hiilijalanjälkeä?
THE CARBON FOOTPRINT OF SOLAR ELECTRICITY
The solar power plant reduces CO2 emissions by 89kg/MWh. The calculation is performed in relation to Finland's average electricity production emissions (2024 level, defined by Motiva).
For example, if your property consumes 2000 MWh per year, and we build a typical size 500 kW solar power plant for your electricity use, it will produce approximately 425 MWh of electricity per year. In this case, you reduce approximately 37,000 KG of CO2 emissions annually.

Is solar electricity really emission-free?
THE CARBON FOOTPRINT OF SOLAR ELECTRICITY
The production of solar electricity at the solar power plant is completely emission-free. When looking at the whole down to the first meters, emissions are also generated from solar electricity, as from all forms of energy production. For example, manufacturing and transporting solar panels and other components consumes energy, which creates emissions.
There is still no completely emission-free electricity production method from the beginning of the process to the end user. Comparing the existing options with the same metrics, solar electricity is one of the most environmentally friendly electricity generation methods, if not the most environmentally friendly. The electricity produced by the solar power plant itself is 100% emission-free energy, the power plants have a long service life and the required maintenance measures are small. With modern methods, investments are also cost-effective and financial savings can be achieved with solar power plants.
Overall, a solar power plant is a great way to bring your property, company or product one step closer to carbon neutrality or even carbon negativity.
